i hate faulty predication

The phrase is "the reason is that..." not "the reason is because," as in:

The reason I'm late is that I had a flat tire.

instead of:

The reason I'm late is because I had a flat tire.

See the difference? Friends don't let friends use unnecessary redundancy.
